The Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation has introduced new changes to the system for Ticket Booking. The Indian Railways have introduced several changes which are for Tatkal Ticket Booking system in order to bring about transparency and to prevent any misuse. Now only the Aadhar Authentication Users shall book their Tatkal Tickets.
Not only the Aadhar Authentication has to be done, the new rule shall be applied on the Counter Tickets as well. The Tatkal Ticket Booking Through Computerised PRS System 2025 shall be implemented from 15 July 2025 onwards. There has been a booking time restriction for the passengers as well. The time restrictions have been imposed on the ticket booking and this rule states that during the first 30 minutes of the online ticket booking window, one will not be able to book their Tatkal Tickets.
For AC Classes: the window will be closed between 10:00 AM and 10:30 AM.
For Non AC Classes: the window will be closed between 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM.
